In My Father's Footsteps is a time-traveling documentary that takes you on a remarkable journey across three continents as I retrace my father's 1982 solo trip around the world. Through my eyes, you will gain a unique perspective on the changes and enduring aspects of our world over the past 40 years, witnessing my journey of discovering more about my father and seeing him in a more human light. The film introduces you to my father, Vince Poscente, who meticulously documented his travels through letters, postcards, and over 3,000 captivating photographs.

About the Director

Bella Poscente is an accomplished director and avid traveler, passionate about the art of filmmaking. She studied at the prestigious film school in Prague, Czech Republic, and holds a BA in Film Production from the University of Colorado Boulder, with minors in Business and Dance. Bella's achievements include summiting and naming a mountain in the Himalayas, receiving the Talent and Creative Scholarship from CU Boulder (twice), and serving as a panelist and judge at the Pegasus Film Festival 2023.

Her talent and creativity have earned Bella international recognition, with finalist positions at the Bestlov Film Festival and selection for the Lift-Off Filmmaker Festival in England. Her films have been showcased at festivals such as the Pegasus Film Festival, Philadelphia Youth Film Festival, Fresh International Film Festival, and the 24-Hour Video Race. Bella has attended esteemed film festivals including Festival de Cannes, Sundance, and Doc NYC, further enriching her storytelling abilities.

Bella's passion for exploration has taken her to diverse destinations. She has climbed mountains in India, lived in Maui and worked at a hostel, studied film production in Prague, toured around Austria with a dance company, and traveled with her family and friends throughout Europe, South America, and Australia. These rich experiences have profoundly influenced Bella's perspective on the world and deepened her love for people and cultures.

For the past two years, Bella has dedicated herself to her latest project, In My Father's Footsteps, immersing herself in every aspect of the documentary filmmaking process. Additionally, she has gained valuable hands-on experience as a camera assistant on Showtime's "Your Honor Season 2." With her comprehensive background, unwavering commitment, and captivating storytelling style, Bella Poscente is poised to make a significant impact in the world of cinema, captivating audiences with her compelling documentaries and innovative approach.
